Overview

Responsible for continually monitoring and improving all accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll and treasury activities to ensure they are efficient, cost effective and in compliance with company policies, while driving toward a global standard. Develops and maintains client relations to ensure the processes meet the business and finance leaders’ expectations.

Responsibilities

  • Manages the EMEA and NA Accounts Payable function and the improvement of the related processes and controls to ensure the timely and accurate payment of suppliers
  • Oversees the strategy and effective and efficient processing of Accounts Receivable functions, including revenue transactions, revenue reporting, reconciliation of the AR ledger and cash collection from customers.
  • Manages the EMEA Treasury function and the improvement of the related processes and controls to ensure the optimal use of corporate cash, including forecasting cash as required by the Corporate Treasury function.
  • Manages the EMEA Payroll function and the improvement of the related processes and controls to ensure the timely and accurate payment of employees and contractors
  • Works closely with other transaction processing center teams to continuously improve and develop metrics to monitor and manage the performance of employees and processes.
  • Develops and maintains relationships with key internal and external customer groups
  • Ensures on-going compliance with Internal Control Environment objectives and supports internal and external audit review processes.
  • Assists direct reports with all aspects of managing employees including hiring, training, performance management and recognition.
  • Develops and manages departmental budget and expenses.

Qualifications

Advanced degree in a business-related major (i.e. Accountancy,Finance, Business Administration, Management Information Systems, etc.).

10+  years of professional work experience. A minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience within Financial Shared Services including the development of teams and transformation of systems and processes

Experience managing leaders of others while demonstrating strong leadership and people management skills

    • Ability to build and lead high performance teams, developing culture and strategy and improving processes
    • Advanced strategic and implementation of process improvements
    • Excellent relationship management and stakeholder management skills – ability to influence at the most senior level
    • Operational business knowledge
    • Strong organizational and change management skills
    • Excellent presentation skills
    • Member of a recognized accountancy body, preferably ACA or ACCA
