Overview

Our Solution Architects work with high profile strategic customers in our core vertical markets (retail, manufacturing, T&L) and develop a deep understanding of our their business problems and solutions needs.   Our Architects translate these problems and requirements into innovative and practical solution designs which also aim to address the broader vertical opportunity and from time to time they also assist with their sales and initial implementations.    We're looking for someone with demonstrable experience of successful design and development of business solutions in a customer facing role and an established track record in development of business solutions.

 

 

Responsibilities

You will be responsible for the components of the service delivery which will include planning, design, integration, deployment, customization and commissioning of software solutions from Zebra or third party applications, (Electronic Shelf Labelling, Locationing, Voice Solutions, etc.), Mobile Computing Solutions (Mobile Computer, PSS, Mobile Device Management, RFID, Speech Solutions), Managed Services or other services according to Zebra’s Services Portfolio Strategy.

 

You'll work closely with customers, supporting the creation and delivery of demos/prototype and Proof of Concepts as well as helping to develop a global solution services community of interest across sales and the wider services departments.

Qualifications

  • Extensive experience working in needs analysis and design of complex multi-technology customer solutions ideally working in areas key to Zebra’s solutions.
  • Preferably a BS/BA degree in information systems, computer science, information technology or a related discipline.
  • Comfortable with complex heterogeneous systems environments, systems integration and systems implementation teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to share and communicate ideas both verbally and in writing to executive staff, business sponsors, and technical resources in clear concise language that is the parlance of each group. The Solutions Architect is an expert in many categories
  • Must have in depth knowledge of some of these areas:
    • The steps required in the deployment of complex solutions from end 2 end
    • Software development methodologies
    • Mobile Computing and Mobile Computer Operating Systems such as Windows Mobile, CE, Android, iOS,
    • Programming languages and SW environments for mobile computer such as C#, C++, Compact Framework, etc.
    • Windows and Unix Operating and Database systems.
    • Wired and wireless Communication standards (LAN/WAN/MAN, etc.), protocols, networking data and voice and how they affect Zebra’s products.
    • Connectivity within major operating system environments using current standards and the ability to propose and design cross platform system solutions.
    • Foundation qualification in ITIL

 

  • Must have demonstrated
    • Creation of test plans for ensuring successful service deliveries for both, the system implementation and changes during run phase.
    • The ability to create, plan and perform major systems integration and test system hardware and software interoperability.
    • experience in using proven tools and design methodologies to analyze, document, and specify complex network (WAN, LAN, WLAN) solution.
    • ability to provide Business Analysis services with the customer in the context of the offered services
    • good communication skills to convey the customer requirements with various stakeholders
    • ability to lead and facilitate technical workshops with various stakeholders
    • ability to support problem management activities
    • ability to develop or enhance service processes and provide governance on best practices
    • Must have lead successful systems integration and systems implementation teams [as lead engineer or lead architect] on complex customer projects
    • Excellent presentation skills required. Must be highly skilled with drawing and diagramming tools (such as MS Visio or similar)
    • Strong verbal and written skills; fluency in English
    • Has experience proactively identifying and responding to customer needs analysis
