Do you have what it takes to own the customer’s issue from the moment they report it until it is resolved?

Qualifications

You are not scared to talk to the customers on the phone and you know good techniques how not to get stressed when big customers report a major issue.
You gained these skills during about 5 years of service in technical support field.

We are a manufacturer, not just a service provider so the level of responsibility is high. You know what L2 technical support job is about and you want to be doing it in the foreseeable future.
Android / Windows Mobile operating systems are not completely new to you and you have had some exposure to them.
During one of your previous troubleshooting efforts, you may have had to write a small application using some programming language.
You understand that the built-in barcode scanner / RFID reader is essential for efficient data capturing.
Our devices are always part of a solution. They need to be connected (802.11; GPRS; Bluetooth…) to give that captured information about where (GPS) the people or goods are, and in what condition they are - to their business to make it smart and connected. 95% of Fortune 500 companies are our customers. Some of them have thousands of units that need to be in a good shape and working fine.
You know what MDM is and perhaps even used some for managing a device remotely.
