Field Service Engineer: Onsite support and maintenance of Zebra products within the retail environment- Supporting Mobile Data Devices and WLAN infrastructure.


This role will be based around the Bristol area with around 75% travel. A company car will be provided as part of the package.




Work effectively with internal and external resources to:


  • Representing Zebra Technologies at customers’ premises for which he/she is responsible.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment to support contracts, effectively maintaining and repairing company products including, Wireless infrastructure, Mobile data terminals and Zebra printers
  • Access daily the Remote Engineer Intranet site and liaise with Helpdesk to determine daily work.
  • Manage his/her time to ensure service requests responded within SLA.
  • Ensure that jobs are promptly closed on and all data is passed in a timely manner with actions outstanding are clearly identified.
  • Ensure that when necessary escalation procedures are understood and implemented
  • Adhering to Zebra’s Health and Safety policy
  • Manage trunk inventory
  • Ensure company vehicle is maintained in good order
  • Lone working
  • Working at Height
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by management
  • 24/7 On call Support Rota- Mon-9am to Mon- 9am every 6 weeks


  • Demonstrates success in working in an electronic repair environment and meeting commitments, with minimal supervision
  • Will likely have had extensive experience in a fast-paced technology Field role, supporting a wide range of products
  • IPAF would be beneficial but not mandatory
  • CSCS Green Card would be beneficial but not mandatory
