Strategic Business Developer will understand the requirements of the OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer), Global Partners, and Solutions businesses in order to drive incremental opportunities and revenue for both the short to medium term (inside 12 months) and longer term (12 to 24months). Focus should be around existing and emerging technologies into existing and new verticals, customers and partners. The role should own the process of identifying new business development areas, oversee solution development projects and provide a handoff to the sales team, including a closed loop tracking process with the sales teams. 


  • Expand Zebra’s reach into new and existing accounts and partners to build pipeline
  • Identify and Define new products and solutions for development by Zebra to be delivered by our OEMs Global Partners and Professional Services team to our customers
  • Develop Use Cases & Solution areas for deeper vertical penetration
  • Assist Sales Teams in the expansion of business in underdeveloped regions
  • Fostering strong relationships with internal key functional areas (Product teams, Marketing)
  • Building and developing relationships with strategic OEMs and Global Partners
  • Contract and Licensing Negotiations
  • Model/build out new market opportunities that current OEM businesses are not focused on. Includes prospecting/qualifying potential OEM partners
  • Manage opportunities not driven by OEM sales teams due to short term sales focus
  • Negotiate global or complex deals and handle complex business arrangements to let Account Managers focus on near-term sales
  • Plan and execute Global Sales go to market activities including collaboration with marketing on joint collateral, buyer profiles, roadshows and conferences, to drive revenue growth
  • Develop presentations for sales teams and management to enable sales and business development



  • Business or Engineering (Electrical or Mechanical eng, Computer Science) degree. Technical acumen required.
  • Working experience in business development, sales or system engineering and solution architecture with business development acumen. International business experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of IT systems and technologies such as, Mobile, Wireless and Wired networks, Scanning, Printing. Understanding of Zebra’s core and emerging technologies and solutions
  • Ability to identify solutions for development by Global Solution Center team
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt in a dynamic, fast paced, agile environment with a can-do attitude
  • Self-motivated, resourceful and able to work independently. Outgoing, assertive self starter, capable to interact with new customers
  • Ability to successfully lead and motivate diverse product, solution and sales teams across geographic boundaries
  • Ability to analyze market data to identify trends/opportunities and support these sales team on new solution development and sales creation
  • Ability to adapt to rapidly changing priorities and execute on needed priorities to develop and drive the business
  • Detail oriented, organized, and possess strong interpersonal written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint to develop presentations and Microsoft Excel to analyze data
  • Fluent in English is a must and conversational in other languages preferred
  • Must reside in the Czech republic – Preferably Prague area but able to freely travel throughout EMEA region - 50% travel, including international
