Zebra Technologies are looking for an experienced tax professional to join the team as Regional Tax Director for EMEA. The role is a highly visible position managing strategy for the tax function. You will be responsible for leading strategy and the process for preparation, review and reporting of the quarterly and annual tax provision for the organisation. 


  • Coordination, management and preparation of quarterly and annual income tax provisions and managing all external tax reporting requirements, reporting and disclosures under applicable regulations.
  • Income tax forecasting and tax provision analysis including establishment and monitoring of tax reserves, analysis of valuation allowances, foreign remitted and unremitted earnings and tax credit utilization.
  • Lead strategy and determination of process planning and managing workload through execution.
  • Responsible for building managing and maintain a high performing team through effective coaching and development.
  • Partner with international tax planning and transfer pricing professionals on business strategy projects to projects to provide tax accounting expertise and ensure that effective tax rates and forecasts accurately incorporate these areas.
  • Manages development and delivery of tax calculations supporting the applicable federal tax return and support the efficient preparation and review of the consolidated federal tax return.
  • Maintain and review Sarbanes -Oxley internal controls for tax reporting.
  • Proactively communicate with other Tax Directors and VP of Global Tax regarding financial effects of key transactions, operations, new projects and legislative changes including partner and collaborate with Accounting & Finance, Control and Treasury on a regular basis.
  • Gather information and perform financial forecasting and modeling of the effective tax rate on a quarterly basis by having a thorough understanding of company issues and internal transactions.
  • Identify and implement system and process improvements


  • Preferred Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree in a business-related subject (i.e. Accountancy Business Administration) with applicable Accounting certification preferred
  • Preferred Work Experience :
    • Tax accounting and provision experience in either a Big 4 public accounting and/or multinational corporation (ideally both)
  • Key Skills and Competencies:
    • Exceptional functional and technical knowledge
    • Tax management level experience required
    • Excellent written and Oral Communication Skills
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
    • Advanced strategic and implementation of process improvements
    • Demonstrated ability to interface with management levels across functions
