Zebra Technologies is looking for a part-time Receptionist to join the team in our Bourne End office (8am - 4:30pm, Mondays & Tuesdays). The Receptionist is at the heart of the Bourne End office as first point of contact for visitors and colleagues, so we're looking for someone energetic, friendly and willing to go the extra mile. General duties include answering high-volume incoming calls and directing callers to appropriate personnel. 

Responsibilities

  • Answer incoming telephone calls, determine purpose of callers, and forward calls to appropriate personnel or department. Place outgoing calls, as needed.
  • Answer questions about organization and provides callers with address, directions, and other general information.
  • Welcome on-site visitors, determine nature of business, and announce visitors to appropriate personnel. Relay messages manually, via PA system and/or by electronic mail.
  • Monitor visitor access and issue guest passes, when required.
  • Record voice mail greetings and retrieve voice mail messages from the general mailbox.
  • Update the telephone extension directory.
  • Update and maintain several databases using Excel and Access software.
  • Train switchboard personnel and back-up on all aspects of the switchboard duties.
  • Support head office functions with basic administration duties where required on Reception
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Experience in customer service or similar role
  • Highly dependable to maintain reliable attendance
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Fluent in English, other languages such as Spanish would be advantageous
  • Cheerful, poised manner and presentation, both in person and on telephone
