    A opportunity has arisen for a Senior Business Analyst to join the Global Professional Services Project Management Office. In order to better serve the data needs of our business we need to standardize our data reporting globally, by defining a common global data dictionary. Different practices and tools have been developed within the regions to capture data and the goal is to standardize these practices and tooling to make data reporting consistent.


    This role will involve working with Regional Project Management Offices, the Global Project Management Office and Sales Operations to: Understand current practices; identify best practices; identify opportunities for automation; introduce automation to make reporting more consistent and; record and review the generated data dictionary.


    The goal will be to generate and maintain a data baseline for the Global Professional Services PMO.


    Business Analysts support the operations they are aligned with by providing reporting, interpretation and data-based recommendations to business leaders.


    • Working directly with business stakeholders, designs a wide variety of moderately complex reports and some complex reports using data from one or multiple systems to specifications. Delivers report in format to aid stakeholders outside the functional area (powerpoint, PDF, etc).
    • Reviews delivered reports for data accuracy. Independently works to resolve quality issues of limited scope and escalates complex quality issues to supervisor or senior staff for resolution.
    • Uses business acumen to look beyond the data to generate recommendations for a wide variety of moderately complex problems to review directly with business stakeholders.
    • Identifies and interprets trends and patterns in datasets to locate influences.
    • May be responsible for data governance processes and quality in assigned area of responsibility
    • Coaches junior level analysts in data governance, report design and analysis, and data presentation, as required.


    Preferred Work Experience (years): 4-6 years
    Key Skills and Competencies:
    Can synthesize complex data into themes, stories and recommendations
    Intermediate systems knowledge in assigned functional area
    Microsoft Excel – intermediate to advanced skills
    Knowledge of SQL is mandatory for this role
    Microsoft PowerBI - is beneficial
    Experience with Oracle databases and SFDC (SalesForce Dot Com) is beneficial
    Experience of using SharePoint in a business environment
    Can present data in a visually compelling format to help business stakeholders understand the issues, possibilities and recommendations
    Microsoft PowerPoint – intermediate to advanced skills
    Presentation skills – intermediate skills to advanced required. Some formal training in public speaking / presentation skills preferred.
