    You will join the Zebra Finance Shared Service Center (“FSSC”) in Brno with approx. 100 employees. You will be part of the General Ledger (GL) Team. The GL Team consists of 30 people divided into 5 sub-teams and its key responsibilities are: accounting for Zebra subsidiaries in Europe and North America, global fixed assets processing, financial statements preparation and tax compliance. Position reports to GL Manager. Position has daily cross-border exposure.

    Responsibilities

    • Leading team of 5 accountants. 2 general ledger accountants and 3 fixed assets accountants. Responsible for hiring, performance reviews and coaching for performance.
    • Global Fixed Assets (FA) Setup and maintain the "best practice" FA process, document all FA processes in Policy and in the Standard Operating Procedures and keep them up-to-date, ERP reports enhancements, monthly FA sub-ledger closures, review of balance sheet accounts reconciliations, promoting employees' results based on meaningful set of operational reporting for FA. Ownership of end-to-end audit process, cooperation with internal and external auditors and working on FA audit findings timely resolution. Provide internal training to various departments.
    • Monthly closures. Make sure that all monthly US GAAP closing entries and activities are performed in a timely manner and in required quality. Review BS accounts reconciliations.
    • Annual accounts. Preparation of annual accounts for Zebra CZ subsidiary, conversion of US GAAP to CZ GAAP. Review of accounts prepared by external providers for foreign Zebra subsidiaries in scope.
    • Corporate Income Tax Return. Cooperate with external providers in Europe with regards to statutory compliance (CIT, VAT, other taxes, statistics etc) for subsidiaries in scope.
    • Communication with senior managers, directors, controllers, other teams eg. AR, AP, payroll, treasury, with analysts and tax advisors.

    Qualifications

    • Master degree in Finance/Tax
    • Professional Accounting Qualification (ACCA or equivalent) would be an advantage
    • Minimum 3 years of experience in supervisory role in finance (Big4 companies or SSC preferred)
    • Strong technical skills in accounting; knowledge of CZ taxation (CIT, VAT)
    • Good communication skills, including excellent English, both written and spoken (daily phone calls in Eng), strong presentation skills
    • Ability to prioritize effectively and learn quickly, very good problem-solving abilities, able to work against deadlines
    • Strong Excel skills, knowledge of Oracle module is advantage
