  • Overview

    Business Analysts support the operations they are aligned with by providing reporting, interpretation and data-based recommendations to business leaders.

    This position will provide oversight and management to the ongoing operational review of reported business issues and enhancements logged in our incident tracking system with the IT support teams. 

    Responsibilities

    • Working directly with business stakeholders, reviews, validates, and updates various internal IT service tickets for break/fix and enhancement requests. Monitors and tracks business and IT resource actions required and confirms incident system of record is being maintained.
    • Supports periodic review and prioritization of open IT incidents and enhancements with the global Services business functional leads. Facilitates review of business justification analysis.
    • Develops reports and analyzes for data accuracy. Analyzes root quality issues and makes recommendations to more senior staff for resolution. Supports future looking reporting of prioritized IT requests for enhancements.
    • Designs reports analyzing data from one or multiple systems to key specifications of more senior staff and business stakeholders.
    • Provides analysis on business problems and issues using data from internal and external sources to provide insight to decision-makers.
    • Identifies and interprets trends and patterns in datasets to locate influences.
    • May be responsible for data governance processes and quality in assigned area of responsibility.

    Qualifications

    • Preferred Education:
      • Bachelor’s degree 
    • Preferred Work Experience (years):
      • 0-2 years
    • Key Skills and Competencies:
      • Can synthesize complex data into themes, stories and recommendations
      • Beginner systems knowledge in assigned functional areas
      • Knowledge of Business Intelligence (OBI) is required 
      • Microsoft Excel – intermediate skills
      • Microsoft PowerPoint – beginner to intermediate
      • Presentation skills – basic skills required. Some formal training in public speaking / presentation skills preferred.
