  • Overview

    You will join the Zebra Finance Shared Service Center (“FSSC”) in Brno with approx. 100 employees. You will be part of the General Ledger (GL) Team. The GL Team consists of 30 people divided into 5 sub-teams and its key responsibilities are: accounting for Zebra subsidiaries in Europe and North America, global fixed assets processing, financial statements preparation and tax compliance. Position reports to GL Manager. Position has daily cross-border exposure.


    1. Leading team of 5 accountants. Responsible for hiring, performance reviews and coaching for performance.
    2. Monthly closures. Make sure that all monthly US GAAP entries and activities are performed in a timely manner and in required quality. Review BS accounts reconciliations and follow up on reconciling items.
    3. Annual accounts. Oversee conversion of US GAAP to local GAAP and preparation of annual accounts for Zebra subsidiaries in cooperation with external providers. Support external audits.
    4. Corporate Income Tax Return. Cooperate with external providers in Europe with regards to statutory compliance (CIT, VAT, other taxes, statistics etc) for subsidiaries in scope.
    5. Communication with senior managers, directors, controllers, other teams eg. AR, AP, payroll, treasury, with analysts and tax advisors.



    1. Master degree in Finance/Tax
    2. Professional Accounting Qualification (ACCA or equivalent) would be an advantage
    3. Minimum 3 years of experience in supervisory role in finance (Big4 companies or SSC preferred)
    4. Good technical skills in accounting and taxation (CIT, VAT)
    5. Communication skills, including active usage of English, both written and spoken (daily phone calls in Eng), strong presentation skills
    6. Ability to prioritize effectively and learn quickly, very good problem-solving abilities
    7. Strong Excel skills, knowledge of Oracle module is advantage
